History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Laucian's homeland. Laucian decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He became a Engraver soon after.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
