History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rael grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rael. After a long history of fighting, Rael and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born in a small plains village. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fletcher. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he would like to get married and retire

History: Born in the west to a Masseuse, Korfel learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and to reunite with his old friends

History: Born to a Scribe, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and doesn't want to be a miller and was forced into it by his family
