History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Berrian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Berrian. Being a Cook kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He takes great joy in being the best Miner in town.

History: Born in the east to a Miner, Beiro learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Recently the stress of being a Miner has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult.
