However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Aust took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up scimitar and armor he uses now. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. A true patriot, Thervan would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Thervan was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
