His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Aerdeth took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up rapier and armor he uses now. He's also a talented Miller, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Raer was horrified and prayed that his father was alright.
