History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes drow are coming to abduct people. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Paelias alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it
