History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. Being a Sage kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He's also a talented Bookbinder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.
