History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting giants, the young Rael began to lead the lost caravan. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
