Berrian's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
