It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Dayereth and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Naeris wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Naeris was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Description: A middle-aged man, he is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down, and is pretty ugly. His auburn hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His green eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Thamior was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Theren lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
