History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Thervan grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Thervan was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Thervan decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
