He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His first spouse was a Map Maker, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Servant and was forced into it by his family.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Arannis's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Arannis grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Arannis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and many dire rats want him driven away

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
