Being a Courier kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bookbinder hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Theren's homeland. Theren decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
