History: Azaki hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Raer fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Map Maker mother left him crippled. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

The war was a terrible time for him, and Laucian does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Laucian never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
