His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a glassblower and was forced into it by his family

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
