History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Koeth hails from a village terrorized by illithids. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
