Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting giants, the young Lucan began to lead the lost caravan. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gifted student he started as a Locksmith, but he got bored and became a Blacksmith. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
