After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Architect they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Carter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hadarai grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hadarai. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
