Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears a robe, a symbol of strength around his neck, and a crossbow on his belt. His silver hair is long and unkept. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Description: He wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his rapier with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. His hair is cut close to his head. This gray eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Azaki's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Azaki grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Azaki. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and to find somewhere to settle down

Description: This man dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. He is muscular with a powerful set of arms. He is bald on top and has large chestnut tufts of hair around his ears. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Heian speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Heian is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Heian was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Farmer. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
