History: Varis was born with his mother's beautiful face. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
