History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Through the years after Naal was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Naal's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Berrian is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.
