History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Heian's homeland. Heian decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Himo's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. A true patriot, Theriatis would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and a deep hatred of dire rats
