History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Naeris fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Raer was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Raer grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Raer. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
