He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Afterwards he claimed he had encountered brigands who tried to eat his hand. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Paelias has worked very hard to control his curse. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact
