History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has taken up work as a Courier and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nim grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nim. He has achieved small success as a Stableman.

History: Aust was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Aust and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Engraver responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
