History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Berrian grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
