History: He comes from a rich northern family. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and seeks redemption

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Paelias will drive conversation. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Paelias was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
