To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ahvain. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
