History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has decided he is irredeemable

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Slave Trader work with an outfit from a few towns over. Slave Trader work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
