History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Varis took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up spear and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He's also a talented Glassblower, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Tharivol fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with his sister.
