His father taught him the rudiments of the Banker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Rael lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Shepherd, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
