He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Berrian's homeland. Berrian decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
