The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. After months of barely getting by, Theren managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs
