History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to end his boredom

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.
