History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
