History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Paelias was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Quarion was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Quarion's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Quarion and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He moved out west to avoid the crime he committed. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
