History: He comes from a rich southern family. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Lamlis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Lamlis was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
