History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Miller for the past few years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miller responsibilities is difficult.

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty green coat over it. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: Quarion hails from a village terrorized by goblins. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Quarion alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
