History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His childhood dream was to be a Dilettante, but he was a colossal failure. He became a Performer soon after.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Varis was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.
