He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He struck the Merchant job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. He bought a scythe and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
