History: Efferil was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. During his travels, Thervan and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Thervan discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Thervan fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
