Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
