He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Theren lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Brewer, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and an old rival family wants him found
