History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Heian took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up crossbow and armor he uses now. Being a Knight kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Halimath was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rael grew up listening to his father's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Rael was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he desires power and/or immortality
