History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He's also a talented Bowyer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
