Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rael does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He became a Carter soon after.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Tailor, but he got bored and became a Shoemaker. He struck the Shoemaker job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Naal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Unemployed for the past few years.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Galinndan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. Recently the stress of being a Carpenter has made it difficult for him to sleep.
