He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
