History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Raer was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion; and to reunite with his old friends

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Being a Layabout kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born in the north to a Jeweler, Rael learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He tends to his Jeweler job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
