History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Adran grew up listening to his mother's many stories. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Naeris alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He became a Mortician soon after.

History: Thervan lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
