Through the years after Ivellios was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Thervan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Thervan.
